I’m a postdoc at VU University. I work primarily on the metaphysics of science. In December 2013 I received my PhD from the Australian National University, supervised by David Chalmers (chair), Daniel Nolan, Jonathan Schaffer, Daniel Stoljar, and Wolfgang Schwarz. My dissertation provides an analysis of the idea of a fundamental level of reality and uses it to evaluate proposals for what is fundamental, in both philosophy (e.g. physicalism) and science (e.g. interpretations of quantum mechanics). I’m a kiwi living in Amsterdam.
